Firefighters worked through the night to deal with a fire at a former nightclub in Stoke-on-Trent on Thursday evening. The disused four-storey property on Trinity Street in Hanley was called in at 19:10 BST, and crews sealed off the surrounding area.
The building was once home to Groove Castle. Firefighters remained at the scene overnight to dampen down hot spots and to make sure the building was safe.
Investigation underway
An investigation is under way into the cause of the fire. Police officers were also sent to the scene. No-one was hurt, Staffordshire Police said.
Police asked for witnesses to come forward to help with their investigation.
