Port Vale manager Jon Brady has expressed confidence in his squad despite a difficult start to the season, ahead of Saturday's fixture against Salford City.
The Valiants have faced criticism following poor form and a 3-1 midweek defeat to Swindon Town. With four games played, Brady acknowledged the results have fallen short of expectations but insisted the team can recover.

Reflecting on the Swindon defeat, Brady said: "The continuous intensity from them was really strong and they had more physicality from us on the night. But I don't expect us to make some of the decisions we made. Make no bones about it, the players know about it and we're going to deal with it, move forward and get it right."
Season assessment
Brady assessed Port Vale's campaign so far, saying: "It's four games in, not the start we envisaged but we can put it right on Saturday. Put it in perspective, it's two draws, two losses but we always want to be better. We're trying to find the best formula to achieve three points on a Saturday. We've been consistently inconsistent and that's why I'm frustrated because I know how the ability of the players. That's got to change."
The manager acknowledged supporter frustration, adding: "I totally get it, if it was me I'd be moaning as well because they are passionate about their football club."
Deadline day signings
Brady also indicated that two players brought in on the transfer deadline could feature in coming matches. "We've brought them in to play and they are good players in my opinion," he said.
