Christopher Bradley, 44, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been formally identified as the man who died after being stabbed near Hanley Park in the Shelton area of the city on Thursday evening. He was stabbed on Ridgway Road.

A tribute issued through Staffordshire Police described him as "loved so much" and "sadly missed" by family members.

Arrests in connection with the incident

Police have arrested five men and a boy in connection with the death. A 19-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, bringing the total number of arrests to five.

Previously, officers arrested men aged 19, 20 and 25 on suspicion of murder, along with a 17-year-old boy.

The 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man, both from Stoke-on-Trent, who were arrested last week, remain in custody for questioning.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Fitzgerald said: "Our thoughts remain with Christopher's family and friends and our investigation is continuing."
