Businesses based in Stoke-on-Trent are not eligible for Staffordshire County Council’s Build and Scale scheme. The council’s application guidance explicitly excludes the city.
The programme is aimed at Staffordshire firms trading for two to five years, in construction, trades, real estate and professional services. It offers eight hours of one-to-one mentoring over six to eight months.
Check eligibility before applying
The published criteria require a Staffordshire business address outside Stoke-on-Trent, a Companies House number or Unique Tax Reference number, a full application and a growth assessment. Free places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis; the council can change or withdraw the scheme.
