Port Vale manager Jon Brady has confirmed that three players are receiving treatment after recent matches, leaving them as doubts for the upcoming fixture against local rivals Crewe Alexandra.

George Byers was forced off early in the match against Tranmere Rovers shortly after scoring from the penalty spot. Brady told the media it was too early to speculate on the nature of the injury.

Loanee Ollie Lynch was also replaced during the match, and Brady clarified the substitution was due to injury rather than tactical reasons. "Oli had to come off with a hamstring issue," Brady said. "To be fair, I didn't want to bring Oli off."

Defender Kyle John was omitted from the match squad entirely due to injury. Brady explained: "Kyle woke up and just felt his back on Thursday morning."
