The Continental Market is returning to Hanley this November, bringing international food and crafts to the city centre. Stoke-on-Trent City Council has confirmed the market will run from Thursday 5 November to Sunday 8 November, between 10am and 6pm daily (closing at 4pm on Sunday).

Stalls will be located on Parliament Row and Upper Market Square, alongside the regular outdoor traders who operate in Hanley. Food vendors will include The Taste of Greece, Rangooguys Noodles Bar and Granny Sally's Confectionery, with menus featuring noodles, burritos, chimney cakes and souvlaki.

Traders from across Europe, Asia and South America will also sell gifts and products alongside the food offerings.

Council backing

Councillor Finlay Gordon-McCusker, cabinet member for transport, infrastructure and regeneration, said the market highlights diverse cultures and supports local businesses in the city centre. "Each year, the delicious food and amazing crafts that traders bring highlight so many amazing cultures," he said. "Events like the market attract more people to the area and increase footfall in these businesses."

Children's activities at Hanley Indoor Market

During the same weekend, Hanley Indoor Market will host a children's event from 10:30am to 3pm. Activities include a meet and greet with Bluey and Stitch, carnival games, retro arcade games, free balloon modelling and face painting, and performances from KPop Hunters.
