Rural businesses across Staffordshire are invited to a free advice event on 13 October where they can speak directly to organisations offering support, funding and guidance.
The Rural Business Pop-up Hub will take place at Keele Hall, Keele University from 10am to 12.30pm. The event is organised by Staffordshire County Council in partnership with Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.
The hub is open to businesses based in rural areas of Staffordshire and people living in rural communities who are considering starting their own business.
Which organisations will be present
A range of support providers will exhibit at the event, including Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and Keele University. Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Skills Hub, Staffordshire Business and Environment Network, and Staffordshire Jobs and Careers services will also be in attendance.
Why the event is needed
Robin Hall, Staffordshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said: "Running a business in a rural community can bring challenges, from accessing finance and skills to finding the right specialist advice. Staffordshire has a strong and diverse rural economy, and we want to help its businesses start, grow and create more local jobs. This free event brings a wide range of practical support together under one roof. Whether you already run a business or are considering starting one, I would encourage you to come along, speak directly to the experts and find out what help is available."
